How to hard reset the Nokia Lumia 620

The Nokia Lumia 620 is popular for Nokia lovers due to its compact size and lower cost compared to the 820 and 920. Users of this Windows Phone 8 device should be aware of the specific troubleshooting methods that can be used if problems arise. For unresolved errors and freezing, method #1 will suffice for returning your phone back to its original factory-fresh state. These steps will also come in handy if you’d like to remove all personal information from your device for any reason. It’s amazing how common it can be for smart phone users to forget their password. In the event that something like this happens, you’ll need to know how to use method #2 to remove password protection. Please be aware that these methods will remove all custom settings and personal files from your device. If you do not wish to lose anything, please back up your information before continuing.
- On your start screen, tap the arrow icon.
- Go to “Settings”.
- Select “About Phone”.
- Choose “Reset your Phone”.
- Confirm by tapping “Yes”.
The reset process will now begin, please do not touch or press anything until it is complete.
- Turn your device OFF.
- Simultaneously press and hold the volume down + power + camera buttons.
- Release the power button only – once the phone vibrates.
- Hold for five more seconds, then release.
